PST to MBOX converter — migrate Outlook archives anywhere

Drop a .pst file and export it as a standard .mbox mailbox — every message, attachments embedded — ready to import into Thunderbird, Apple Mail, or any mbox-aware client. The conversion runs locally; your mail never leaves your device.

it is parsed in this tab — never uploaded

Your files never leave your device — everything is parsed locally in your browser.

How it works

1

Drop your .pst file

Parsed locally in the tab — no upload. The folder tree confirms the archive is complete before you convert.

2

Export as MBOX

Choose "MBOX mailbox" in the export row. Each message becomes a standard RFC 822 entry with its attachments embedded as MIME parts, in folder order. The free tier covers the first 10 messages.

3

Import into your mail client

Thunderbird: install the ImportExportTools NG add-on → right-click a folder → Import mbox file. Apple Mail: File → Import Mailboxes → "Files in mbox format". Your archive is now local mail again.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert PST to MBOX?

Drop the .pst file into the box above, select "MBOX mailbox" in the export row, and click "Export all". The .mbox downloads straight from your browser — no server, no Outlook needed.

How do I import the .mbox into Thunderbird?

Install the free ImportExportTools NG add-on, right-click the destination folder (or Local Folders), choose ImportExportTools NG → "Import mbox file", and pick the downloaded file. Every message lands with its original date, sender, subject and attachments.

Does it work with Apple Mail?

Yes — Apple Mail imports .mbox natively: File → Import Mailboxes → "Files in mbox format". That is the standard route for moving an old Outlook archive onto a Mac.

Are attachments kept?

Yes — attachments are embedded in each message as standard MIME parts, exactly as they were stored in the PST. They come through the import like ordinary mail attachments.

What's free and what does a license unlock?

Free: the first 10 messages exported to MBOX (or EML zip, PDF, CSV), unlimited times — enough to verify the conversion on your real file before paying. A one-time license (3-month $14.99 or lifetime $29.99) exports the whole mailbox and adds bulk attachment extraction and cross-folder search.

Does the file leave my computer?

No. Parsing and conversion run in JavaScript inside your browser tab; nothing is uploaded. Check the Network tab in developer tools — the only requests are page loads, an anonymous usage counter, and license validation for paid users.
